Breedon reporting: award-winning quality

Breedon, a vertically-integrated construction materials business, came to us in ‘year one’ with a challenge: their current reporting didn’t match their brand, position in the market or investment case. We were happy to take on the challenge, and to swiftly transform their report. The report ultimately won both ‘Best printed report, AIM’ and the 'Grand Accolade: Annual report of the year’ across all categories at the Corporate & Financial Awards.

In ‘year two’, we had a solid foundation on which to build, but there was a new challenge – Breedon was moving from AIM to the main market of the London Stock Exchange. That meant we were focused throughout on helping Breedon author an accessible, modern and fully Code compliant governance section.

From quarry to customer

A messaging section at the top of the report, structured around Breedon’s values, makes it clear how important the business’ values are, and how they contribute to its success.

Making the case

A highly visual investment case section includes data to back up the assertions made.

Genuine insight

The six-page business model description offers meaningful insight for investors into how Breedon operates and generates revenue, and now incorporates several ‘business model in action’ case studies.

First-time Code compliance

We worked closely with Breedon to help them prepare an accessible, insightful governance section that was fully aligned with the UK Corporate Governance Code.
